The writing tool that you can’t be without is Grammarly
Heads up: My posts may contain affiliate links. If you buy something through one of those links, you won’t pay a penny more, but I’ll get a small commission, which helps the flower fund. Thanks!
I’ve been writing lately about the tools that I am using as a new blogger. My goal is to employ time-saving apps and tools to streamline the process of blogging. All the while being practical and frugal with my choices.
My most recent article is about marketing tools and apps that I use. There’s another tool that I need to tell you about that uses AI to be an intuitive proofreader of everything you write. It checks for spelling errors, grammar errors, punctuation, and gives you suggestions for improvement.
That tool is Grammarly.
Grammatically incorrect writing or spelling errors in this day and age are a complete turn-off to your reader. Grammarly can make you the writer that you always wanted to be, or at least you’ll have perfect spelling, punctuation, and grammar.
This is the answer to poorly written emails to blog posts because Grammarly corrects your writing.
How I use Grammarly
There are multiple ways to use Grammarly. The first thing I did was grab the Google Chrome Extension. You can download that HERE. That will give you a small Grammarly icon to the right of your web address bar.
Once you have that installed, Grammarly checks your writing for mistakes everywhere that you write. If I am on Facebook or Twitter, it will show me misspelled words and give grammar suggestions. It will even check as you type your emails.
When I am blogging in WordPress, Grammarly is there checking every keystroke. Grammarly corrects your writing.
There’s an desktop app for Microsoft and for Office. Grammarly also works on Mac and across all devices.
How much does this cost?
The Grammarly Basic account is completely FREE. That is what I use for my level of writing. But when I get ready to up my game, I will be investing in Grammarly Premium.
The Premium account gives insight into more complex writing errors. It will also help your writing with vocabulary suggestions, genre-specific writing style checks, advanced grammar checking, and more.
Your writing stats
Every week I receive an email from Grammarly with my writing stats for the week. I love seeing those numbers and using them to set writing goals.
